    Local Artist Showcase at Home by Zinnia's

    This Friday, June the 3rd is our first Local Artist Showcase at Home by Zinnia's! 

    If you're looking for more inspirational and authentic pieces from local artists to decorate your home, then this is a must-attend event. 
     
    We know how amazing it is to have pieces in your home that are a true reflection of you that bring your home to life and tell your unique story. Discover different artists from the Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz area and find art and decor that catches your eye and heart. 
     
    The event begins at 6 PM on Friday, June the 3rd and will last throughout the evening at Home by Zinnia's at 262 Mount Hermon Rd. in Scotts Valley, California.
     
    There will be beautiful paintings and interiors from Whitney Mitchell Wirtz and Mary Dettle and breathtaking photography from J Quevedo. These artists are some of our absolute favorites, and we know they will become your favorites, too. 

    A Little More About Our Featured Artists 

    Whitney Mitchell Wirtz / Whitney Design Studios 

     

    Whitney is an Artist, Teacher, Encourager of Creative Play, Interior Designer, and Joy Seeker making art and sharing all I know to inspire you to do the same. Art is her center, her gravity and balance. She believes that art heals, soothes and helps us focus and fit into this world where we can create an inspired life- one full of joy, color, creativity & curiosity with the freedom to express ourselves, without judgement (even our own) and she wants to share that with you! 

     

     

    Whitney believes that we need more creativity and more art- real, free, messy, colorful, joyful art. She works towards that in her studio in Santa Cruz, California, taking inspiration from nature and am heavily influenced by the ocean & moving water. She has her AA in Art & Humanities and Bachelor’s in Interior Design. Whitney's been painting and showing her artfor well over a decade!

     

     

    Mary Dettle 

     

    Mary Dettle has been painting and drawing her whole life! She discovered pastels almost 20 years ago and has been enjoying the versatility and vibrancy of this medium ever since. Mary is a credentialed art teacher, she is known for her enthusiasm and sense of humor.

     

     

    She has shown her works in many local shows( most recently at the California Landscape show at the Santa Cruz Art League) and stores in Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley. Mary teaches Pastel Painting for beginners at the Santa Cruz Art League. She loves the energy that students get and receive in a workshop setting. 

     

    Jose De Jesus Quevedo Jr.

     

     

    Some of Jose's favorite images are candid in nature. He finds there to be something quite spectacular and fulfilling going beyond capturing the physical and into the essence of a person, creature, or location. 

    Patrons have often described his photography as fun, colorful, and exciting to the extent of calling his work, “unbelievably beautiful.” He strives to capture perspectives that may sometimes go unnoticed.

     

     

     

    We can't wait to celebrate these talented local artists with our Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley community this Friday, June 3rd from 6pm to 8pm at Home by Zinnia's. See you there!
