Often confused with Rose Essential oil due to its pleasant rose-like scent, Geranium is native to South Africa. Today it is widely cultivated with the main producers being Egypt, Russia, and Reunion Island. Ancient Egyptians treasured the oil for its ability to treat skin conditions. Geranium made its way to Europe in the 17th century. The oil produces a sweet, green aroma that is calming and serene.
